Cunningham-Adamek Shares IBF Fight Of The Year Honours

Cunningham-Adamek Shares IBF Fight Of The Year Honours International Boxing Federation President, Marian W. Muhammad and the organization were gathered in Panama City, Panama, for the IBF’s 26th Annual convention.

During the proceedings various awards and honors were made. The IBF Fight of theYear award was a tie between Steve Cunningham vs. Tomasz Adamek magnificent 11th December '08 battle and the equally action packed Orlando Salido vs. Critsobal Cruz.

On hearing the news, of receiving the IBF FOTY award, Steve ‘USS’ Cunningham said. “Man, that is beautiful. It is a true honor to receive the accolade of Fight of the Year. The IBF is the most important of all sanctioning bodies and for them to feel that our fight was one of the best fights last year really means something.”

Steve ‘USS’ Cunningham vs. Wayne ‘Big Truck’ Braithwaite takes place on the 11th July 2009. Currently the fight is listed, on BoxRec, as being at the Bank Atlantic Center, Sunrise, Florida but according to Don King Productions PR supremo, Alan Hopper, this has yet to be confirmed as the venue.
