Violet The Cannibal Joins SpiderBaby - Debuts At The Gaff Feb 13th


The awesome, and totally outrageous, GlamPunk band SPIDERBABY have a new stix person, and not just any old drummer but the uber talented, and similarly outrageous, VIOLET THE CANNIBAL.

Violet, who guested with SpiderBaby at last month’s Vicious Glamlicious gig in Mayfair, will officially be debuting as SpiderBaby’s newest addition at the Mr Stu promoted THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE VALENTINES DAY II gig, at the GAFF on Holloway Road, London N7 this coming Saturday.

Violet the Cannibal is a drummer second to none, literally one of the best drummers on the planet. She has worked with the UK's hardest working rock band Uniting the Elements - playing over 850 gigs in 3 years - and some of the UK's top tribute acts including The Femones. Violet has recently been approached with offers of touring with other bands in Europe (e.g. the iconic Adam Bomb), but as she put it “SpiderBaby is where it’s at for pure, raw, female energy.”

When announcing Violet joining the band SpiderBaby’s female vocalist, the fabulous FRANCESCA SANTAMARIA, said “I am totally ecstatic to have Violet join us for our future shows as she is a real talent....Im so happy to have another girl in the band too!!!!!!!“

SpiderBaby’s lead vocalist and guitar supremo SHANNON LEE chipped in "Yeah. Violet is a human dynamo!! I have never had such a great big groove up my backside than the groove Violet emits!! Having your head ripped off has never been so much fun or looked so pretty.."

Shannon then went on to speak briefly on the upcoming Nightmare Before Valentines Day II gig. "The Gaff is always such a pleasure to play. The vibe is family like close yet welcoming! The new wave of the British revolution of GOOD music has started & it's based in Holloway Road!"

Francesca, who had sat nodding in agreement as Shannon spoke then added her thoughts on their upcoming gig. “Saturday’s show at the Gaff seems set to be a big one for us.....we have nothing to prove....but EVERYTHING to give“

The amazing SPIDERBABY and their new drummer VIOLET THE CANNIBAL will be headlining Mr Stu’s NIGHTMARE BEFORE VALENTINES DAY II, with support from AL B DAMNED, ACE MAFIA, CATFIGHT and WASTED SINNERS, at THE GAFF 352 Holloway Road, London N7 on Saturday 13th February. Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets, at just £5, are available on the door.
